Some days, just when we think all is healed, Sadness arrives.
Unannounced, uninvited, she floats in, bringing tears, regret, pain, emptiness. She reminds us of the Unpleasant Past and the Unresolved Present.
My dear, do not be afraid.
The presence of Sadness does not equal the absence of Healing. Healing is always working her wonders.
Sadness is merely a visitor.
Do not fear her; she is held steady by the Life you are building, and the Healing you are embracing. She is an agent of the One who is the Way the Truth and the Life.
Only let her come; for she is a needful visitor; hers is a cleansing ministry.
On these visiting days, release into the Sadness.
Relinquish control.
Release the tears.
Bravely feel.
Bravely know.
Don't fight. Let your tears flow through you as a cleansing Breath. Don't struggle. Let your tears be as a cleansing River.
Breathe.
Cry.
Feel.
Sleep.
Cry some more.
Let My arms wrap around your trembling body, your bleeding soul. For Sadness is well known to Me.
Do you not know that I am the Man of Sorrows, acquainted with grief?
My dear, my tears fall for you right now, today. Reach out to Me in your sadness, and you will know me as the Great Comforter.
Feel deeply.
Release completely.
Let my Comfort fill up your soul. And let Sadness do her work.
For she is a cleansing Visitor.
